UB Philosophy

Study Spaces

• There are around 75 study spaces, whereof 2 with PC/screen (see devices).
• UZH members can book some of these study spaces online viabooked-UB
• Some study spaces can be used without prior reservation.
• Vacant study spaces can be used at any time, but reservations take priority.
• Some of the study spaces are reserved for students in the Department of Philosophy.

Long-term study spaces

• 9 long-term study spaces

• To book a long-term study space, use the Application for Application for Long-term Study Space

Group Study Room 

• 1 group study room (KOL-Fa-110d) for max. 6 people. Details see Group Study Rooms.
• The group study room not only offers individual study spaces, but it can be reserved for group work at the info desk or via booked-UB.
• If the group study room is reserved, it must be cleared for the users who have reserved it.

Borrow and Return

• Self-checkout station
• Shelf for collecting reserved items
• Returns box

• Please note that items will not be cleared from the library account until the next working day (check due date).

Devices

• 2 PC workstations

• Printer (UZH Print Plus instructions)

Lockers

• 28 lockers (free of charge, 28 days loan, reservation possible via swisscovery)

• Locker keys can be borrowed at the location.

The focus of the collection at UB Philosophy is based on the specific research areas at the Department of Philosophy. Editions of all important authors as well as standard works on philosophy in general are also acquired.
