What Study Spaces are Available?

Study Spaces

  • There are around 140 study spaces, whereof 6 with PC/screen (see devices).
  • UZH members can book some of these study spaces online via booked-UB.

  • Some study spaces can be used without prior reservation.

  • Vacant study spaces can be used at any time, but reservations take priority.

Long-term Study Spaces

  • On floor G, there are long-term study spaces available that can be used by students of the Department of German and Scandinavian Studies who are writing a Bachelor's or Master's thesis or a dissertation.
  • To book a long-term study space, use the Application for Long-term Study Space.

What Infrastructure Can I Use Here?

Borrow and Return

  • Self-checkout station in entrance area
  • Collection of reserved items at the info desk

  • Returns box in entrance area

Devices

Lockers

  • 210 lockers (free of charge, 28 days loan, reservation possible via swisscovery)
  • Locker keys can be borrowed at the location.

Information about the Location and Collection

The Romance Language and Literature collection currently comprises around 180'000 items. These include specialist literature, text editions, DVDs, CDs and over 200 current journal titles. The collection is continuously expanded in the linguistic and literary fields of French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romansh and Romanian. The focus of the collection is determined by the respective subject areas of the professors, lecturers and researchers at the Institute of Romance Studies.
