Self-archiving in ZORA
Self-archiving is also known as secondary publication. Self-archiving means that you independently republish your manuscript or make it available digitally in a place other than with the publisher.
Ideally, this other location is a (non-commercial) repository - that is, a platform created for publishing manuscripts (and other digital content).
What is ZORA?

About the Academic Report (AkaBer)
Fulfill Requirements of the Swiss National Science Foundation
Self-archiving manuscripts in ZORA complies with the green road to Open Access (also known as secondary publication) and meets the requirements of the SNSF.
Integrate Publications in Institutional Website
UZH's website system allows for the automatic integration of researchers' publications from ZORA into the institutional website. The list of publications is generated dynamically, i.e. they reflect the current content of ZORA. Researchers can thus keep their list of publications on their institutional website automatically up-to-date.
Keeping Your Rights as Author for Self-Archiving
By not giving existential rights to the publisher, you keep the freedom to re-publish your manuscript anywhere you want.
