UZH members get access to the IEEE Xplore digital library as well as the option to publish articles directly in ZORA via Green Open Access.
The license with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has been extended for 2025. Members of the University of Zurich have full access to the IEEE Xplore digital library and its journals, conference proceedings and standards.
In addition, UZH members have the option to publish their accepted manuscript in the conventional closed access journals and conference proceedings of IEEE immediately and without embargo via green route in the institutional repository ZORA.
Green Open Access means that manuscripts are published in conventional subscription-based journals and are made freely accessible through secondary publication in institutional or subject-specific repositories. Within the IEEE publication process, UZH members select the option «Publishing via traditional/closed publishing» instead of the option «Open Access».
UZH members can enter their accepted manuscript in ZORA independently or have it entered by a person at their institute – the person just has to be registered as a submitter.
