Temporary Closures Locations in Oerlikon
In June, the library locations at the Oerlikon campus will move into a new building. These locations will be closed until the opening in September due to construction work.
The closures will affect UB Political Science, UB Popular Culture Studies & Film Studies, UB Communication Science and UB Social and Cultural Anthropology & Sociology. These locations will close as early as 1 June 2026. Starting 1 September 2026, these locations will reopen in the new BIM building at Binzmühlestrasse 11/13 in Zurich-Oerlikon.
The UB Psychology will also be closed, as part of its collection is being moved to the new BIM building. The UB Psychology will close on 29 June and reopen on 1 September 2026.
Borrowing and learning during the closure
While the locations are closed, borrowing and copying services will not be available. If you need any items, please borrow them before these dates. All loan periods will be extended so that no fines are incurred during the closure.
Study spaces within the locations will no longer be accessible during the closure. Alternative study spaces will be available in the lecture halls of the AFL and AND buildings on the Oerlikon campus.
